This is an application by the Town of Essex(the “Town”) pursuant to section 40 of the Police Services Act R.S.O. 1990, c. P.15 as amended (the “Act’) for consent to abolish the Essex Police Service (the “Service”). This is for the purpose of having all policing in the Town provided by the Ontario Provincial Police (the “OPP”).
